WHY GO NOW?
To escape the northern November gloom in pursuit of culture,
cuisine and the prospect of sunny skies. Even though prosperous
Valencia is Spain's third-largest city, it remains accessible and
engaging--particularly in the atmospheric old town. It also provides
an excellent base to explore the region that bears its name.
TOUCHDOWN
Valencia's Manises airport, 8km west of the city centre, is
served by Iberia (0870 60 90500; iberia.com) from Heathrow, Ryanair
(0871 246 0000;ryanair.com) from Stansted and easyJet (0905 821
0905; easyJet.com) from Gatwick. The airport is on the city's
