The Home Front Cares honored volunteers and members of the
military and their families at "For the Love of Our Troops IV," a
patriotic, flag-waving dinner Oct. 2.
They do their work "for our troops," said THFC President Brock
Strom, a retired Air Force colonel. This is the group that takes
care of the emergency needs of families of deployed troops "so a
soldier can focus on his mission, knowing his family is being cared
for," said Fort Carson Cmdr. Maj. Gen. Mark Graham.
Since THFC was founded by retired Cols. Bob Carlone and Joe
Henjum in 2003, services valued at more than $1.3 million have
supported more than 1,700 families.
