WALNUT CREEK -- Newly elected state officials gave a tepid
forecast for the county and the state in the coming year, but said
by living within acceptable means, the county can survive.
In his address to the Holmes County Chamber of Commerce and
Tourism Bureau, 97th District state Rep.-elect Dave Hall said the
county has challenges ahead.
"There will be some budget cuts in the future in 2009," Hall
said. "But we know we have to live within our means. We balance the
budget every year. But we will make some cuts. It's going to be
difficult cuts, but we have to do that."
