Ohio's top election official said Wednesday, Nov. 5, that she
chose to vote using a paper ballot on Election Day after seeing the
lines at her polling place.
"I don't think they were overused," Secretary of State Jennifer
Brunner said on Wednesday, Nov. 5, during a news conference.
"We really tried to use the backup paper ballots as not a de
facto second voting system but as simply a safety net and as a best
practice so that we wouldn't have lengthy lines that could
disenfranchise people on Election Day."
Montgomery, Franklin, Stark and Butler counties all missed the
noon Wednesday deadline for completing final, unofficial results
because of problems counting paper ballots. All use ...
