The price of old-season lambs remained steady at sales in
Christchurch. Prime lambs were generally unchanged from last week,
with the best making $120 to $132.
A light yarding of store lambs remained on a par with last week.
Store ewes with lambs at foot improved slightly. In the prime-sheep
market, prices for good-quality ewes were firm. Good-cutting ewes
met with strong demand.
Prime cattle were back 10c/kg to 15c from previous weeks, with
steers making 210c/kg to 225c and sales to 232c. No store cattle
were offered.

Values: Prices for old-season lambs were firm on last week. The
very best made $120 to $132, good lambs made$105 to $115, medium
