Fiscal Authority leaders named

New York Gov. David A. Paterson on Thursday named Robert M. Glaserand James E. Goodell to lead the Erie County Fiscal Stability Authority.

The authority was formed in 2005 to advise the county on ways to better manage its money when it was facing a $118 million deficit that year.

Glaser, who previously served as vice chairman of the authority, was named chairman. He is the managing director of Freed Maxick & Battaglia CPAs PC and RSM McGladrey in Buffalo.

Glaser has 39 years of experience in public accounting. Freed Maxick & Battaglia has more than 200 employees with offices in Buffalo, Batavia and Rochester. The firm operates its tax practice as RSM ...
