Article: Pgc Meeting Pgc Action Sharing Harvest Feral Swine Delisting Wolves

Pennsylvania Game Commission board members recently added coyotes to the list of species able to be hunted under the Mentored Youth Hunting Program.

The program is for youngsters under 12 who are supervised by a licensed mentor 21 or older. The addition was recommended by the Governor's Youth Advisory Council for Hunting, Fishing and Conservation and the Pennsylvania Fox and Coyote Hunters Association.

The mentor may oversee just one young hunter at a time, must carry the one firearm permitted when moving and must ensure the youngster hunts from a stationary position.
