Article: UCR researcher: Humans need more vitamin D

RIVERSIDE - An epidemic of vitamin D deficiency is gripping the industrialized nations and it's even worse for citizens of the Third World.

The lack of the vitamin is affecting our overall susceptibility to muscle weakness, osteoporosis, breast and colorectal cancer, diabetes types 1 and 2, and heart and cardiovascular disease, a celebrated scientist at UC Riverside said Friday.

Anthony W.
