A Proud family have paid tribute to their teenage son describing him as "an inspiration to us all" after he lost his battle with cancer.

Cameron Anderson never let the disease rule his life and continued to pursue his great sporting passions despite being diagnosed with bone cancer after breaking his leg in December 2005.

Today his family paid tribute to the courageous 14-year-old, from Poplars Way in Beverley, who died last week.

His father Lenny said: "He was a real fighter. He had infection after infection during his treatment but he always bounced back.

"There were a lot of times when we thought we would lose him throughout his ordeal and the way he coped with it was amazing.
