This year's City of Plymouth Music, Speech and Drama Festival at
the Athenaeum theatre has been described as 'most enjoyable' by
organisers.
About 1,000 people of all ages took part in the six-day festival,
which was shared between the Athenaeum and Methodist Central Hall
last week.
There were all sorts of classes for speech, drama, dance, singing
and music - and the organisers said the competitors were excellent.
Robert Latham, vocal adjudicator, added: "My first visit to the
Plymouth festival to adjudicate the vocal section proved to be most
enjoyable. The competitors were well-prepared and performed with
skill.
"The classes were well-supported and the organisation splendid,
so that my job ...
