The Cornish Pasty Association has celebrated a major milestone -
50 bakeries have now pledged to protect the reputation of the
Cornish pasty.
Nile's Bakery in St Austell and Purdys Bakery in Liskeard have
joined 48 other members in making and selling authentic Cornish
pasties.
The Cornish Pasty Association was formed in 2002 by a group of
pasty-makers to safeguard the heritage of the Cornish pasty and
ensure bakers produce a genuine product.
The association, which has received worldwide support and is
widely supported on the social networking website Facebook, launched
an appeal earlier this year to encourage more members to join and
support the bid to protect the quality and reputation of ...
