A total of 838 years of wedded bliss were celebrated at a mass
wedding vow renewal service held at a Bath church.
Twenty-two couples stood together, side by side, to renew their
vows in a service led by the Rev Melanie Reed at Beechen Cliff
Methodist Church.
Mrs Reed and her husband Paul also repeated their own vows after
nearly 23 years of marriage.
Many of the couples' relatives, including former flower girls
and bridesmaids, also attended the service.
The idea for the ceremony came from local couple Pauline and
Geoff Hudd who wanted to celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary.
