Article: Business is good at Edinburgh Park as more firms move in

EDINBURGH Park has seen a big increase in new business as companies look to save money by moving into cheaper office space.

The vacancy rate at Scotland's biggest business park has fallen from 26 per cent only around three years ago to 12 per cent now.

It is expected that the rate will fall even further - to ten per cent - before the end of the year.

Agents attribute the rising demand for offices on the park to its average rental price - which is a third lower than equivalent space in the city centre - giving companies a means of reducing costs in tough times.

New accounts posted at Companies House also reveal that park owner New Edinburgh Limited (NEL) surged into the black.
