NEWTON -- Braden Hynek has been on the other side of these state
championship games enough in his career.
Hanover's senior quarterback made sure this one went the
Wildcats' way.
Hynek ran for 104 yards and two touchdowns and passed for 115
yards and two scores to help Hanover defeat Victoria 46-14 and claim
the Eight-Man Division II title Saturday at Fischer Field.
"Last year, we had our heads down and there were a lot of tears
of sadness," said Hynek, who capped a 12-1 season with his teammates
one year after Hanover lost to Macksville in the title game. "This
time, it was joy, and it's completely different. It's just
unexplainable."
