Dave Wannstedt's University of Pittsburgh Panthers won't surpass
Joe Paterno's Penn State Nittany Lions in the Bowl Championship
Series rankings, but Pittsburgh has finished ahead of Penn State's
home, State College, in national real estate poll.
Pittsburgh was 66 and State College 83 in Coldwell Banker Real
Estate's annual College Home Price Comparison Index.
The survey ranks the towns of 119 Divison 1-A college football
teams for affordability. Using data from its offices, the company
uses the average sales price of sold listings of comparable homes in
2008 or a comparative market analysis of homes previously sold.
