DETROIT, Nov. 5 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Today the Detroit Free
Press and The Detroit News report historic sales at local retail
outlets. Anticipating large interest in the announcement of a new
president, both newspapers increased the number of copies printed by
more than 40%, but that wasn't enough to meet consumer demand. "Area
retailers reported customers purchasing multiple copies of each
newspaper and most sold out by noon," said Janet Hasson, Senior Vice
