CHEYENNE - As Councilman Jim Brown's connection between the city and his HVAC business comes under scrutiny this election season, Brown points out that a competitor got more business in an average year than his.

Pointing to figures provided by the city treasurer's office, Brown said over a 15-year period, Ameri-Tech averaged $53,467.97 a year in business. Trane of Fort Collins, Colo., averaged $92,681.13 per year over the eight years it has done work for the city.
