Senior CPC official meets Ho Chi Minh City's party chief

HO CHI MINH CITY, VIETNAM, Nov. 1 (Xinhua) -- A senior official of the Communist Party of China (CPC), Zhou Yongkang, on Friday visited Ho Chi Minh city, the last-leg of his five-day Vietnam trip.

"I am glad to come to the city named after Ho Chi Minh, who is a great leader for Vietnamese and a close friend of Chinese," Zhou, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee, told Ho Chi Minh City's party chief Le Thanh Hai.
