Czech president disappointed over court's approval of Lisbon treaty

BRNO, Czech Republic, Nov. 26 (Xinhua) -- President Vaclav Klaus of the Czech Republic expressed disappointment Wednesday over the Czech Constitutional Court's approval of the Lisbon Treaty, saying the decision was largely political, not legal.

"I must say with regret that the court...did not deal with my legal arguments properly," he told reporters after the ruling. "I expect that some group of deputies or senators will raise these arguments again."

Klaus called on the Czech government to start a discussion with the public about the treaty.
