The Louisiana Restaurant Association Education Foundation in June trained 400 New Orleans area restaurant industry workers in alcohol and food safety training, part of a free program funded through a $250,000 donation from Absolut Spirits Co.

The LRA aims to use the money to train 7,000 industry workers in the 20-parish area affected by hurricanes Katrina and Rita.
