City of Rochester officials are culling development ideas for one
of Rochester's landmarks.
Mayor Robert J. Duffy announced Thursday that the city has issued
a Request for Proposals (RFP) for the potential sale and reuse of
the Midtown Plaza Tower building.
The tower is part of the 9.9 million-sq. ft. office space slated
for demolition and redevelopment, but city officials hope it will
catch the eye of a developer who could save it and find a new use.
"This tower has a lot of potential and the right developer with
the right vision could convert it into a commercially viable
property," Duffy said. "We want to give our talented community of
