Article: Constance Zahorik, renowned philanthropist, dies

SAN MARINO - Constance Zahorik, a noted philanthropist who gave her name to the Huntington Hospital Breast Cancer Center, died Monday at the age of 93.

Services were held Thursday at Holy Family Catholic Church in South Pasadena.

The Constance G. Zahorik Breast Cancer Center was dedicated in 2001 in honor of her tireless support of the hospital and the hundreds of cancer patients who sought treatment and other support services every day.

Her financial donations helped fund the hospital's Nurse Navigator program, where nurse professionals or breast-care coordinators guide patients through pre- and post-treatment and tend to the patients needs.
