Article: WESTLAKE POSTAL UNIT NOT GOING ANYWHERE, SAYS OWNER

It's nearing 6 o'clock on a recent Thursday night, almost closing time at the contract postal unit in Westlake Plaza. A big white paneled truck with "U.S. Mail" in big block letters pulls up to the curb.

Inside the building, Jim Blevins is diligently working to get all of the mail into large bags and placed into an orange container for the truck driver. The two men exchange pleasantries; Blevins signs some paperwork and the driver wheels the orange container to the truck.

For more than two decades, this has been Blevins' bread and butter -- operating the contract postal unit in the Westlake area.
