CHICAGO, Dec. 3 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The American College
of Surgeons (ACS) today recognized the Institute of Medicine (IOM)
for its committee report on resident duty hours that was released on
December 2, 2008, by the IOM Committee on Optimizing Graduate
Medical Trainee (Resident) Hours and Work Schedules to Improve
