BEIRUT -- UN special coordinator for Middle East peace process Robert Serry has expressed his welcome to Israeli forces' evacuation of approximately 200 settlers against Palestinians from a house in Hebron, said a statement distributed Friday by UN press office in Beirut.

"I condemn the ensuing violence and attacks by Israeli settlers against Palestinian civilians," Serry, who is also a personal representative of UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, said in a statement. (Lebanon-UN-Israel)
