Ray Funk wasn't sure how his Yakima Valley team had done it, and
didn't sound convinced that he wanted to find out.
"I don't know where to start with this one," the YVCC coach said
Saturday, minutes after his Yaks had survived Skagit Valley 90-86 in
double overtime. "It's not like we played well."
And they hadn't.
For much of the non-league game in Sherar Gym, Yakima Valley
looked disorganized on offense and had trouble keeping the Cardinals
from reaching the rim on defense.
Still, after missing chances to win at the end of regulation,
which ended tied at 73, and the first overtime, knotted at 82, the
