Phares E. Leed, 84, of Ephrata entered into rest on December 8, 2008 at Ephrata Manor due to complications from Parkinson's disease. Phares was born in Akron, PA, a son of the late Sherman M. Leed and Lillian (Levering) Leed.

He was married 66 years to Vera (Gaston) Leed and is survived by sons, Roger (Margy) Leed, Ephrata, Daryl (Carol) Leed, Colorado Springs, Scott (Angie) Leed, Lancaster, and daughter Ann (Joe) Grill, Ephrata.

Phares is survived by grandchildren Paul (Tina) Leed, Lancaster, Kim (Fred) Ammons, Lebanon, Danelle (Adrian) Newman, York, Chrissy Leed, Pittsburgh, Erika (Phil) Beal, Ephrata, Colin (Amy) Leed, Colorado Springs, Alex Leed, Philadelphia, Trevor Leed, Colorado ...
