Article: San Leandro man held in drive-by shooting case

SAN LEANDRO -- A San Leandro man has been charged with a November shooting in which an occupied vehicle and a house were struck by gunfire, officials said Wednesday.

Derek Cassina, 19, turned himself in to police on Dec. 4 in connection with the Nov. 4 shooting, which occurred on the 15000 block of Andover Street near Manor Boulevard.

Cassina has been charged by the Alameda County District Attorney's Office with two counts of assault with a firearm, two counts of shooting into an inhabited house and vehicle, possession of a loaded firearm in a public place and probation violation, police said.
