CLE ELUM -- Plans to build the Washington State Horse Park moved
a step closer to reality with word that the title to land donated
for the project has been cleared.
Transfer of the 112-acre property from Suncadia resort to the
city of Cle Elum, which will lease it back to the horse park, had
been delayed because of liens against a portion of the property,
said Steve Busick, president of the Washington State Horse Park
Foundation.
"When the title search was done, it turned out there was a
partial lien on the property by some banks," Busick said. "About a
week ago we got word that the banks had agreed to release the lien
and the title had been cleared up."
