Article: Carolyn Livengood column: Local Lions team up to host holiday health fair

FOUR LOCAL Lions clubs have partnered to put on a free health fair for those in need from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Dec. 21 at the Burlingame Lions Hall, located at 990 Burlingame Ave.

Burlingame Lions Club will provide the Lions Hall and the refreshments for the volunteers, according to Lion Dan Andersen, event coordinator.

Under the co-chairmanship of Lions Dr. Tina Manio and Rudy Pedagat, South San Francisco Golden Gate Lions Club will coordinate the volunteer doctors and nurses.

San Francisco Premier Lions Club will also supply volunteer doctors and nurses, while San Francisco Host Lions Club will give a free glucose-monitor kit to the first 50 patients that need one.
