This 74-year-old resident of rural West Virginia lives alone in a
modest home that is 30 miles from town.
It's a rather isolated life. She does not drive.
Fortunately, a cousin who lives next door, gives her a ride into
town once a month to buy groceries.
A neighbor down the road stops by from time to time to visit and
offer to run errands as well.
Her only source of income is an $825-a-month Social Security
check. She manages to take care of basic food and clothing and
utility needs. She makes do with what she has because there's no
