DAYTON -- Fifteen years of Dayton Ballet's "The Nutcracker" is
nothing compared to those in some cities.
The San Francisco Ballet, which has a distinguished new
production airing on public television beginning Wednesday, Dec. 17,
produced the first in the United States in 1944.
But 15 years is easily long enough to build up a reservoir of
memories.
A few alumni of the Dayton Ballet's holiday classic, which opened
Friday and continues through Dec. 21 at the Schuster Performing Arts
Center, have agreed to share some of their experiences.
One is Dayton Ballet board president Susan Kettering, who's also
a dance photographer.
