Melissa Marie McGuire and John David Carney were married Aug. 30 at the McGuire residence. A reception followed at the Pomona Gun Club.

The bride is the daughter of Randy and Debbie McGuire of Selah. The bridegroom is the son of Dr. Paul F. Carney of Yuma, Ariz., and Jeanne Burger of Phoenix.

Kimberly B. Cobb was maid of honor and Paul S. Carney was best man.

The bride graduated from Selah High School and Professional Beauty School of Yakima. She is a hair stylist for Salon Madrid. The bridegroom graduated from Selah High School and Central Washington University. He is employed with the city of Yakima.

Following a trip to Maui, Hawaii, the couple is at home in Selah.
