Article: Inaugural EagleBank Bowl could be a marketing boon for Bethesda firm

They've had three short months amid a tumbling economy to plan it, but the EagleBank Bowl's organizers say they are "pleasantly surprised" by the support and expected turnout for the first college bowl game scheduled to be played in Washington this Saturday.

"The buzz of bringing football back to [Robert F. Kennedy Memorial Stadium] has just been tremendous," said Ronald D. Paul, CEO of EagleBank and Eagle Bancorp Inc., the Bethesda-based parent company. Paul said it would be the first football game played in the stadium since the Redskins left for FedEx Field after the 1996 season.
