Fifty-five Wisconsin businesses have been nominated for the 21st annual Wisconsin Manufacturer of the Year awards, the sponsors announced Friday.

The MOTY awards recognize Wisconsin companies for outstanding achievements in manufacturing. Winners will be announced at a black- tie awards dinner and program Feb. 26 at the Pfister Hotel.

Nominated companies are evaluated in areas such as financial growth or consistency; technological advances; product development; environmental solutions; operational excellence/continuous improvement; commitment to employees; and effective research and development.
