Article: Jordan District attorneys wrap up arguments in arbitration

In a continuing debate over splitting assets and liabilities, attorneys for the east and west sides of Jordan School District wrapped up closing arguments in arbitration Friday.

The panel of three arbitrators may take until the end of January to make a ruling.

Attorneys on both sides Friday presented myriad studies and their own special ideas on how to slice up the district pie.

The arbitrators have a buffet of options to choose from. One plan calls for the east side to give the west side $33 million plus funding for a new administration building -- about $75 million.
