She is a 26-year-old mother with a 2-year-old and already more
than her share of hard times.
Most of them came from her bad decisions, but this mom is ready
to start over.
Her drug and alcohol addictions took over her life, leading at
one point to jail time after she was caught forging a check, her
caseworker said.
That was a wakeup call.
She served her time and sought treatment for her addictions. She
and her son are now living with her mother, though she has applied
for federal subsidized housing and the caseworker expects she will
be approved.
The mom has described the boy's father as "a bad person," ...
