Some businesses along the north-south portion of Interstate 94
are preparing to grow with the wider highway. Others are preparing
to die.
"Only an idiot would think this won't be a problem," said Ronald
Schneider, owner of Leon's Frozen Custard in Greenfield, of plans
for the new I-94.
Schneider and dozens of other businesses along South 27th Street
are bracing for the loss of their exit ramp off Interstate 894,
which is included in the I-94 widening plan between Milwaukee and
