West Hull failed to break their derby duck this season, but ran Skirlaugh close before losing out 20-18.

Coach Mark Hewitt's side have now lost all four derbies this season by less than four points.

"I am very disappointed we didn't get a result as once again we have come really close without getting over the final hurdle," said Hewitt.

"Both sides played well, but it was about us going away from our game plan for 20 minutes which we seem to do regularly.

"We have to learn to stick in the arm wrestle and make sure we improve the points in the game which we aren't doing so well.

"We still have plenty of time left this season, and we are not out of it yet, and have showed yet again we can mix ...
