A royal Navy recruit trained at HMS Raleigh in Torpoint has been
honoured at a national military awards ceremony.
Trainee Diver Jamie Campbell, aged 25, has been presented with
the award as the Best Armed Forces Recruit during a star-studded
event attended by the Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall.
During The Sun Military Awards he was presented with his award by
England rugby legend Lawrence Dallaglio and TV presenter, Kirsty
Gallacher.
Jamie said: "I didn't expect to win. During training I was just
concentrating on giving 100 per cent and helping my friends out,
just as they were there for me.
