One-hundred and twenty-one years ago, the building on the corner of U.S. 24 and 21st Street was the Midland Terminal Railroad's roundhouse. Soon, the building, which has housed Van Briggle Art Pottery for the past 55 years, will cater to a different kind of locomotion.

Local real estate developer Griffs/ Blessing Inc. bought the property from the Stevenson family, which owns Van Briggle Pottery, for approximately $2.5 million. Griffis/Blessing will spend another $2.5 million to remodel the stone structure, a task that should be completed in spring 2009.
