An ambulance paramedic inspired by his friend who was diagnosed
with leukaemia has set up a bone marrow donation clinic to help
people diagnosed with the disease.
Paramedics Paul Down and Colin Bolsom have worked together for
many years for South Western Ambulance Service in North Devon, so
when Mr Down was diagnosed with the disease, Mr Bolsom decided to
raise awareness of the issue.
News of Mr Down's illness inspired his friend and colleagues to
help. He wanted to help anyone suffering in the same way, and now is
