Bakkavor employees face further worry over their jobs as the
company announces 400 new redundancies in Lincoln.
The company, which owns a bread factory in Barton-Upon-Humber,
said the job losses had been caused by 'worsening economic
conditions'.
'Restructuring' will take place at three Lincolnshire plants:
Kirton, Holbeach and Spalding.
A 90-day consultation with staff has been launched with 2,000
workers at the three sites.
The news comes seven months after Bakkavor closed its pasta
factory on Scunthorpe's Foxhills Industrial Estate, with a loss of
107 jobs.
