CHEYENNE - Patients who are well enough to leave the hospital but
still need intravenous drug therapy have a local option for home
delivery.
Tucked inside Hoy's Drug at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center is
North Star Infusion. The business offers the medication and supplies
that allow patients to recover at home.
Co-owner Scot Schmidt said there was a sixth-month service gap
after Coram Specialty Infusion Services closed its Cheyenne branch
and before North Star opened at the beginning of 2007. During that
time, patients ordered their antibiotics and other intravenous drugs
through the mail.
