Article: Commander's Palace in New Orleans reclaims top spot in Zagat Survey

Commander's Palace is New Orleans' most popular restaurant, according to the 2009 Zagat Survey, which today released the results of its 2009 New Orleans travel survey today.

It is a designation the famed Garden District restaurant held for 17 years prior to Hurricane Katrina. Commander's decor also achieved the top ranking in the city. Zagat's 2008 guide did not include the restaurant, which reopened following extensive storm repairs after the survey had already been compiled.

Galatoire's earned the top spot in the 2008 guide.

This year, Galatoire's is ranked as the city's second most popular restaurant.
