Jeanine Arabia fell in love with the Cape Cod-style house with
swings that was being raffled to raise money for Habitat for
Humanity Allegheny Valley.
Her father, Francis P. Arabia, 76, wasn't quite as enthusiastic
about the 6-by-8-foot playhouse they saw on display at Pittsburgh
Mills in Frazer. But Jeanine Arabia, 39, who has cerebral palsy, was
persistent, even telling her father that she'd give him the $5 to
buy her a ticket.
So he went back to the mall and did just that.
"The next thing you know, I get a phone call ... she won. My
daughter was so thrilled, so excited. She was smiling from here to
Chicago," said Francis Arabia of Lower Burrell, who retired from
Kmart in 1994 after 30 ...
