Article: UW-GREEN BAY 77, UW-MILWAUKEE 75 (OT) Night divided by the line Phoenix hits free throws, obscuring Panthers' mark

UW-Milwaukee set a Horizon League record by making all 20 of its free throws Friday night.

But it was UW-Green Bay that wound up winning the game from the line.

The Phoenix made seven of eight free throws over the final 3 minutes 12 seconds of overtime to escape with a thrilling 77-75 victory before 5,146 spectators at the U.S. Cellular Arena.

The loss was the first in conference play for the Panthers, who fell to 9-6 overall and 5-1 in the Horizon League. The Phoenix improved to 11-5 and 4-1.

"I can tell you this: ESPN got their money's worth tonight," UWGB coach Tod Kowalczyk said of the nationally televised game. "I don't know if I've ever been part of a better college basketball game."
