A commander who has taken over the helm at the Royal Navy
Submarine School at HMS Raleigh has described the appointment as a
"real honour".
Commander Nick Meredith has taken over from Commander Rob Dunn
as the officer commanding the school.
In his new role, Cdr Meredith is responsible for the initial
training of all new entries to the submarine service right through
to specialist warfare and weapon engineering training, which
prepares officers and ratings for a posting at sea.
Cdr Meredith, who lives in Plymouth, joined the Royal Navy in
1984 and volunteered for the submarine service two years later.
