A BURTON-Upon-Stather woman who underwent a total 24 hours of
brain surgery in what were life-saving operations has offered a very
generous thank you to her doctors at Hull Royal Infirmary.
For since she was treated, Sally Thornton (58) has raised almost
pounds10,000 for all the professionals both in Scunthorpe and Hull
who had cared for her.
Her Head Over Heals fund has already financed a special chair to
be used by arthritis sufferers at her own medical centre, and local
ambulance crews have benefited after they requested a lock-up
bookcase and a coffee making machine for the ambulance station in
Scunthorpe.
Now the remainder of the cash has been donated to the radiology
and neurology ...
