Adam Gertler may have finished second in the last season of "Next
Food Network Star," but he impressed the Food Network enough to get
the same prize as winner Aaron McCargo Jr.: his own show on the
channel dedicated to all things foodie.
Gertler's "Will Work For Food" isn't a cooking show, but it uses
his natural affinity with the camera to put him in jobs connected to
food, from hunting for truffles to working on a pheasant farm in
southern Wisconsin. He combines an acting background, an easy sense
of humor and a love for food -- he ran a Philadelphia barbecue joint
with his brother.
